Learn & Experiment: Blogging-101

I don't really know where to start......

For the past year, I've been trying to maintain a scrapbook for Tayshaun. Then I tried a few sites to post pics, calendars, comments, etc that I'd hoped my family would view and participate in. But that wasn't successful, plus, it was costing me a monthly fee.

Since my daughters live on myspace (and after experimenting with it these past few weeks, now I can understand why), I decided to try that out. Although it's a creative and expressive way of sharing personalities & upcoming events with friends, it doesn't really offer the means of documenting thoughts and opinions. (It has been fun to use, though.)

Anywayz.....everytime Tayshaun says or does something funny or significant, I've been wanting to jot down my thoughts and Tayshaun's antics - not only on paper (which usually gets lost before I add it to a scrapbook) but also somewhere that I can still create a visually appealing page with little effort.

My friend Melanie has shared her family and personal blogs so I asked her their purpose. And honestly, I didn't know that blogs are often used for journaling. Thus......I'm trying a blog.

Again, who would believe that I'm in the software business and I didn't know the purpose of a personal blog?!

Did I say 'little effort'? It's 2:30am. That's the end of my first blog.
