Boondocks
This is Tayshaun's second visit to Boondocks. This time he may remember it. Last year was definitely forgettable because he swears he hadn't been to this park before. As we waited for the "big boys" to arrive, Tayshaun was able to sneak onto the race cars without anyone noticing that he wasn't tall enough to drive. He picked, OF COURSE, a blue race car and waited excitedly to start off the race. I tried to fasten him into the seat belt but he wasn't happy about me being the only parent helping their kid into the race car so I let the attendant do his job. Tayshaun was smiling ear-to-ear and looking seriously ready to drive a car for the first time in his life. It was a bumpy start since his legs didn't reach the pedals (this was probably the first clue that he wasn't tall enough to drive the race cars) but eventually he was driving around & around the race track. He crashed into the side at one point and couldn't manuever his car out so the attendant had to help. I was glad to see later on another OLDER boy do the same thing. Tayshaun was thrilled with this ride.
These were the only pictures that I got since the next ride we all went on were the water floating cars and I had to lock up the camera so it wouldn't get wet. We couldn't get away with Tayshaun being the driver on this one so I promised him that even though we had to be in the floater together that he could drive and squirt by himself. Well that was a mistake since I was the taller person in the floater and he didn't know how to steer the floater. I was soaked from head to toe when we got out. Unfortunately Tayshaun was crying at times during the ride 'cause I had to steal the steerer and squirter to get my shots in too. That's just my competitive nature. The "big boys" were eventually wet too.
Tayshaun also played minature golf. No lie....he got a hole in one!!!!! He also played laser tag, video games, ate cotton candy, and tried the race cars again but couldn't get on 'cause they realized he was too short. Maybe next year!
