He made lots of friends and enjoyed the activities the program had to offer. Watching him mingle amongst his classmates on graduation day, I noticed that he didn't necessarily have a "best" friend. He sorta did his own thing. Again I witnessed him being a little shy. I noticed the same behavior on his "Spotlight Day". This really surprises me.
Before the program began, Tayshaun was climbing around the chairs and fell. He's addicted to band-aids these days so of course he needed his cheek patched up but it doesn't look like you can see his wound in these small pics.
For the program, the kids sang some songs and awards were given out. Tayshaun received "The Comedian" award because he was constantly making the kids laugh throughout the year. Observing him in this group, I would have never guessed he'd receive that award. I remember Madison getting this same award in grade school. Guess my kids are little jokesters!
The teacher-aides put together a dvd of activities the kids were involved in throughout the year. We also received Tayshaun's group pictures (Tayshaun looked so grown up and handsome...I wished I'd have ordered more). I don't have a scanner or I'd have posted the pic. Then we finally had punch and cookies and said "Good-bye" to all.
Tayshaun received a tote-bag of activities to work on through the summer months, which I might add, were absolutely darling. Tayshaun loves to play with the various puzzles and activities. We were also given a print-out of the "Funniest things that the Kids did throughout the Year". Here's one observation about Tayshaun:
Miss Janielle asked a group of children who the President of the Unites States was. Here are some of their responses: Hailey: "President Hinckley", Brogen: "President Monson", Joseph: "Jesus", Tayshaun: "Barrack Obama" -- Wow what a smarty!
Tayshaun is a little nervous about starting a new preschool this fall. Personally I think the program is going to be a little more challenging for him - I know he's going to have a great time!
My boy is getting soooooo big!
