Looking for the 'Ladies' at the Bee's Game

My son is impossible. Is he 14 or is he 4? I wonder?!

So we went to a Bee's game this evening. We had great tickets slightly behind home plate - 9th row. 'T' had it all planned out. He knew exactly what we were going to eat, where he "thought" we should sit, etc, etc.

Well when he realized that he wasn't running the show, he relaxed and enjoyed the ride. The Bee's games are GREAT 'cause everyone's got kids there. It's rarely butt-to-butt seating; kids can be loud; they can dance; they can laugh; they can be ridiculously loud; they can sit on your lap get off your lap sit on your lap get off your lap (well you know how it goes). Tayshaun can be Tayshaun at a Bee's game.

I'm soooo loving that he's getting to know the game so well. He knows how many strikes before the batter is out, how many balls before he can walk, how many outs it takes to end an inning, etc, etc. I LOVE it! He's learned most of this from watching his cousins' baseball games. I thought he was just riding his skooter and throwing rocks at the games. But subconsciously, he's been learning the game. Gosh, this kid is smart! So it was really fun to quiz him during the game - and he knew most of the answers.

Well Tayshaun and I were both starving when we got there and thank God he wanted nachos! We didn't even have to argue about it. So between the greasy, melted cheese from the nachos and the carmel apple sucker drippings, he was sticky and dirty within 15 minutes of sitting in our seats.

Then shortly into the game, I noticed he got distracted at something (or someone) behind me and a few seats up. But by the smile and shy look on his face, I knew it was some girls that he had his attention on. And from the conversation and laughter behind me, I could tell they were teenagers. So I just took a sly look around and sure enough...I don't know.... were these girls 16 or older? You be the judge.

Before long, Tayshaun managed to talk me into letting him take some pics (as if I didn't know he wanted to snap some pix of these girls). So after a few shots of the baseball field, he ducked under the seat beside me and started peeking up over it and pointing the camera at these girls and then ducking down again so they wouldn't know that he was taking their pictures. He was being such a voyeur about it. He even had the nerve to ask me if I could turn off the flash. NOT!

Anywayz that was at the tail end of the game and even though he got my camera all sticky, he reverted back to the 4 yr old that appears once in a while and was pretty upset when I told him he wasn't going to get to ride the kiddie train before we left. I had just about enough nachos, soft drinks, snow cones, m&m's, cotton candy, carmel apple suckers (I'm not kidding) for one night. My tummy was not having it.

We had a great time at the game, though. The Bee's were ahead when we left the ballpark. Gotta LOVE the summers!
