Preschool Halloween

Today was Tayshaun's Preschool Halloween party. He's been very excited that we've had to put away the Iron Man costume for a couple of weeks so he'd forget that Halloween was just around the corner.

So the Halloween festivities have begun and today was the first day for Tayshaun to try out his new action man (Iron Man) costume. As you can see here, Marcus helped him get on his gloves 'cause they had to be put on "just so".

Then the party began. We had a Halloween Twister game. I think Tayshaun cheated 'cause he seemed to be the only one who stayed on that mat without falling (does the 2 second rule apply here?)

We had some spider ring toss throwing and the sanitary version for bobbing for apples. Place little apple on tray, hold hands behind back, bend down and open mouth, bite into the apple. Tayshaun had his vampire teeth in today so this game was a breeze. See.

Here's Miss Molly. And here's a group of darling little kitty cats, princesses and witches. Where's Tayshaun? Remember, he's into OLDER women - so these unlucky "girls" didn't get to pose with Tayshaun. The girls asked, though. Tayshaun just looked at them like "Are you kidding me?" And walked away.

Here's Marcus. And here's all the pumpkins that the kids made with stickers. Tayshaun made a Frankenstein pumpkin. Isn't he cute? I love this idea...and no messes to clean up.

There was cookie decorating, spider making, videos, spooky picture tracing, and finally a costume parade. I didn't get pics of that 'cause I passed out candy.

We had a great day. We'll be getting a lot of use out of Iron Man, this year. One more costume party to go and then Halloween. Trick or Treat!!!!

Fall Chores

About the only thing I like about fall, besides Thanksgiving, are the beautiful fall colors. This year we didn't make it into the mountains as the leaves were turning beautiful yellows, oranges, browns, and reds so I took the opportunity to grab my camera when there were plenty on our front lawn.

As soon as Tayshaun noticed the leaves blanketing the front lawn, he was anxious to get outside to rake so he could play in the leaf piles.

When it was time to REALLY rake up leaves, Tayshaun wasn't too excited about the leaves anymore but he did have a good time while he played in them.

No, I'm not looking forward to winter. And I don't think we'll have fall for very long this year so I guess we better enjoy while we can.

A visit to the new dentist office

Tayshaun has a new dentist and we loved his office. They made the environment welcoming, interesting, and exciting from the entry.

And then has him pick out a dvd that's shown on the ceiling while he reclines and waits for the dentist.

I got a little busy watching the dentist and hygenist work in his mouth so that's the end of the pics. Mom didn't do a very good job flossing those back teeth so we'll be back here next week to fill two cavities. I wonder what Tayshaun's experience will be like on that visit....pics will be posted shortly. Cross my fingers he's still smiling in this reclining chair.

BAKUGAN

Tayshaun loves BAKUGANS. I'm not even sure where he picked up this character from, probably tv. He started with the Bakugan game which I haven't been able to figure out the rules to. But he's infatuated and just makes up his own rules to the game. He has a Bakugan desktop wallpaper on the computer, pajamas, cards, shirts, etc. He can't get enough. One of his favorite pasttimes is to watch the videos on cartoonnetwork.com.

We were browsing through the mall last month and he ran across these wall decals and promised me he'd do extra chores for some. His closet door is plastered with this lovely decor. I used to love pink and yellow flowers, hearts, Rainbow Brite on the walls. Those days are over.

I'm exploring the realm of bakugan battle brawlers, now. I'm totally out of my element. O-K?!
