A couple of days ago, Tayshaun and I were talking about Mother's Day....
Me: I think we should make Grandma a special dinner for Mother's Day, Tayshaun.
Tayshaun: You don't know how to cook, Mom. That's not a good idea.
Me: What!? I know how to cook, what are you talking about?
Tayshaun: Grandma knows how to cook without constructions. You always need to read constructions to make food.
Me: laughing... Oh so I need constructions, huh?
Tayshaun: Yea, a REAL chef doesn't use constructions.
I wonder if Tayshaun has been watching me read the "constructions" behind the Banquet boxes a little too often?! Guess I better cook him a memorable meal so he'll put me in his Chef category....with Grandma.
If he only knew....Grandma doesn't READS recipes. She doesn't even FOLLOW them? Something about her flat cookies/cakes tells me she'd better start reading her constructions!
Hmmm, now did that call for baking soda or baking powder? Hmm and could that have been 1/2 cup instead of 1/2 teaspoon? Geez, I added an extra pinch for good measure? Hmmmmm...
Does that sound familiar Mom?!!!!
