Birth

I was looking at a blog of one of my favorite bloggers and viewed a snippet of their alternative water birth. The film was totally appropriate and viewed only the couple in the water unit. There was soothing background music and their voices were muted...until moments after the baby was born. Why is it that when you watch a movie of a birth, you can't help but cry? It just brings back all the memories of the miraculous moments when your children were born? So as I'm tearing up and eventually balling, I watch this beautiful moment between this couple during the arrival of their beautiful little boy.

And all of a sudden, I get this flashback from the BackUp Plan, the Jennifer Lopez flick, of the Disgusting Childbirth scene. I'm sorry - it is disgusting - I guess I'm sicko - but IT IS hilarious. I'll rent that DVD, when it's released, just to re-watch that scene. So my tears start flowing more and I'm giggling over the silliness of that stupid scene - which is very much unlike this real-life birth.

For any of you who haven't already experienced your son or daughter's birth yet...you are in for a treat.

And soon after that, he will scratch his name in the paint of your passenger vehicle door... and those special feelings for your son/daughter will be temporarily forgotten. JK!
